Dover Royal Farms Shooting Suspect At Large

Dover, De. (DELMARVA NEWS NOW) — Delaware State Police are attempting to locate a suspect who reportedly opened fire in the parking lot of a Royal Farms on Saturday afternoon.

WANTED: 28-year-old Anthony P. Taylor of Dover

Troopers say the incident happened around 1:07 p.m. on Saturday when 28-year-old Anthony Taylor of Dover got into an altercation in the parking lot of the Royal Farms located on Lebanon Road in Dover. A 33-year-old male approached Taylor’s vehicle, opened the door and a verbal altercation ensued. The male punched Taylor, at which time Troopers say Taylor produced a handgun and fired one round striking the man. After being shot, the man fled to an awaiting vehicle and was driven to the hospital. He suffered a single gunshot wound to his upper torso.

Taylor fled the scene in the vehicle and remains at large. A warrant out for his arrest states he is facing charges of First Degree Assault, Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and First Degree Reckless Endangerment.
