PETA Places Billboards in Sussex County Targeting Mountaire Farms

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, more commonly known as PETa has placed a billboard in Sussex County, targeting Mountaire Farms.

The animal rights group placed four billboards near Mountain Farms’ plants in Millsboro and Selbyville urging people to opt for “eco and animal friendly vegan fare.” The billboard says “Meat Stinks. Go Vegan.” PETA tells Delmarva News Network they made the decision to place the billboards in Sussex County after it was reported that Mountaire Farms was fined more than $500,000 for pollution violations near those plants.

The ads are located at the intersection of Dagsboro Road and DuPont Boulevard (Route 113) in Millsboro, at the intersection of Antique Road and Atlantic Avenue in Ocean View, and the intersection of Dogwood Acres Road and Vines Creek Road (Route 26) in Dagsboro.
