Delaware State Police have charged two Wyoming women for a weekend robbery in Kent County.
The incident happened late Saturday evening-early Sunday morning at a residence in the 200 block of Turtle Dove Lane in Felton. Troopers say a 22-year-old female victim went to the home, where she used to live to retrieve some belongings. Her ex-roommates, 18-year-old Ashley N. Calloway and 17-year-old Sierra Yeakel took the victim’s phone. Callaway struck the victim’s face several times. The victim left the residence but couldn’t call 9-1-1 because they took her cell phone. The victim sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
Calloway was charged with second degree robbery, felony conspiracy in the second degree, third degree assault and malicious interference in emergency communications. She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance. Yeakel was charged with second degree robbery and felony second degree conspiracy. She, too, was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
